Our focus this late winter and spring will be on bringing chapter members what they want and need.  We will be hosting our 4^th Annual Mega Networking Event at the Carolina Hurricanes on February 12^th, the Citrix Tour and After Hours Social on February 26^th, our 1^st Professional Member Event and Annual Sponsor Reception on March 19^th and the Golf tournament on April 29^th!  We should have an amazing late winter and early spring full of awesome events and hopefully mild weather! 

 We are working hard at continuing our “Celebrating the Facility Management Professional Campaign” that began a few years ago.  Professional member attendance at these events is vital to the success of our chapter and we need your participation and feedback to stay on track with our Chapter Mission and Vision.

Citrix Tour and Social

We welcome our IFMA membership to participate in a tour of the new Citrix office located at 120 S West Street in the warehouse district of downtown Raleigh on February 26th.  The Citrix office is a redevelopment of Dillon Supply Warehouse.  This facility is one of four “Tier 1” sites (more than 500 people) for Citrix in the US.  The tour will start at 3:30 and finish by 5:00PM. Participants will gather in the lobby and they will take groups of 10-15 as they come in.  Tours take about 30-45 minutes.  Light snacks and beverages will be provided.   

The Social after the Tour will be held at Humble Pie, 317 South Harrington Street, Raleigh, NC 27603 immediately following the tour. The location is directly across the street.

PARKING: Street parking is available nearby and is identified by City signage as 1 hour, 2 hour, or metered.  There is also a City pay lot at the corner of West and Hargett streets.  Caution: there is a private lot adjacent to the City lot so pay attention to the signage when you park!  After the tour, the IFMA social located at Humble Pie is about a 2 block walk from the Citrix office. 

Please enter the building through the West Street courtyard between the Citrix parking deck and office building.

Professional Member Event Save the Date

Supporting Our Troops

Time to assemble Rack Packs for the USO which will be given to troops within 48 hours after arriving home from deployment.  Empty bags with instructions will be handed out at upcoming meetings; your assembled Rack Pack bags will be collected at the February 12 Mega Networking meeting, the February 26 Citrix Tour, or the March 19 Professionals Meeting, which is the final deadline!

Information for Rack Packs

IFMA MEMBERS: An epic cornhole tournament is being planned for our August 22nd IFMA Family Picnic.  If you have cornhole sets that you are willing to loan out, please let us know how many you have and also let us know their theme, e.g. college or business logo.  Also, does anyone have a giant dry erase board that could be used for our scoring bracket?  If you do, please send an email to Dana Richardson of ServPro at dana.richardson@servprosouthdurham.com.
