It’s a wrap! Entrepreneurs’ Conference draws 556 over two days; built ‘Why Wisconsin’ theme
The 14th annual Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference attracted 556 people from across the state and beyond June 7-8 in Madison, with a conference theme of “Why Wisconsin” highlighting the state’s attributes as a place to launch, grow and succeed as a business. Highlights include remarks by software leader Pat Quirk; a question-and-answer session with Erik Iverson, the incoming managing director of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation; remarks by Mark Gehring, winner of the 2016 Ken Hendricks Memorial “Seize the Day” Award; a presentation by Evan Absher of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation; and Gov. Scott Walker’s delivery of awards in the 13th annual Governor’s Business Plan Contest. Read more about the conference here.

From intern to director, Cassidy Wartenweiler to lead development and member relations
Cassidy Wartenweiler has accepted the position as the Tech Council’s development and member relations director. Wartenweiler earned her undergraduate Communication Studies degree from Edgewood College.  She holds a master’s degree in Life Sciences Communication from the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
