Monday, April 30th, more than 170 C-Suite executives, Ministers, U.S.
and Foreign Ambassadors, Consul Generals, and global decision-makers
gathered at the Bilateral Chamber's 21st Annual VIP Board Dinner.

One of the evening's highlights came when Bilateral Chamber CEO Aida Araissi, along with several Bilateral Advisory Board Members, presented The Honorable Sylvester Turner, Mayor of Houston with the Chamber's 2018 Visionary Leadership Award.

2018 Goodwill Ambassador Award Presentation |
The 2018 Goodwill Ambassador Award honoree was The Honorable Douglas A. Silliman, currently serving as the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq.
Unfortunately, Ambassador Silliman was called back to post prior to Monday's
program. Since he was unable to accept the award personally, he asked that The Honorable Timmy Davis, Consul General for the U.S. Consulate in Basrah accept on his behalf.
Additionally, Ambassador
Silliman kindly recorded a videotaped message sharing his thoughts on
the award and the current state of U.S-Iraq relations.

Department of Commerce Offers Support |
The Honorable Elizabeth Erin Walsh and The Honorable Nazakhtar Nikakhtar commended the Bilateral Chamber for our success fostering relationships that produce both measurable and sustainable results.
Ms. Walsh re-affirmed the
Administration's commitment to supporting U.S. export initiatives and
U.S. companies that participate
in those initiatives.
Ms. Nikakhtar followed those remarks by offering a
closing toast congratulating the room of VIPs for the important roles
they all play in the energy industry, and
wished everyone continued

The 5th Annual Iraq Energy Dialogue represented the singularly highest ranking cadre of Ministry of Oil officials ever assembled on U.S. soil.
The Deputy Minister for Upstream Affairs, the DG of Basrah Oil Company, the DG, of South Gas Company, the DG of the Petroleum Contracting & Licensing Directorate, and the DG for the State Organization for Marketing of Oil offered first-hand insight into tangible oil & gas development opportunities currently available for U.S. companies. |

Jasim Saeed, Manager of ADNOC’s Procurement Unit, engaged with nearly 200 suppliers and vendors who attended to learn more about ADNOC’s 2030 Smart Growth Strategy Initiative.
He provided detailed information on the plans to invest $110 Billion over the next 5 years while describing how this investment plan will boost UAE GDP and how U.S. companies can access these opportunities. |
