President's Message
Happy Holidays Everyone!
I hope that you everyone enjoyed the Member Appreciation event at Angus Barn Pavilion as much as I did. What a great time and a nice way to thank everyone for the collective efforts throughout the year to make our Chapter the strongest it can possibly be. Thanks to all - especially to those that worked hard at this event to make it special and effortless for most of us!
We have a lunch meeting and social coming up in December. I hope you will attend. As we roll through the year with monthly meetings, socials, tours, and other special events, we routinely request your feedback. We struggle with the questions we ask on the follow up surveys to make them valuable and actionable for us. If you ever have a significant comment, would you please make that known on the survey at the most appropriate place you can find? Our Board reads these survey results, and we take your comments seriously.
We hope to continuously improve and try to not make the same mistake twice. Thanks for your help!

The Angel Tree Reminder
Boys and Girls Club provides safe environment, ongoing relationships with caring, adult professionals, life enhancing programs and character developing opportunities that put young people on the path to great futures. Remember to
place your unwrapped Angel Tree item(s) in a shopping bag with the child’s name card placed inside the bag. Suggested gift amounts are around $30 to $40. Donations are tax deductible.
Don't forget to bring the bag to the monthly IFMA meeting on December 9th or email Kim, Amanda or Ed to arrange pickup.

January 20th Luncheon
Please join us on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Brier Creek Country Club for an Intro to OSH + Workplace Hazard Slideshow with Tom Wilder with NCDOL. This is a timely topic as we are all concerned about the safety and welfare of our building users.
Tom Wilder is a training, safety and quality professional with over 28 years of manufacturing experience in pharmaceuticals, textiles and machine assembly. After retiring from the pharmaceutical industry, Tom originally joined NCDOL as a Safety Education Specialist in August 2010 for about 3 years. Then, after leaving for the private sector for 22 months, Tom rejoined NCDOL in late March 2015 to help NCDOL continue to take the quality of safety and health outreach efforts to higher levels.
Tom’s safety experience includes certification (MESH, C-MESH, IH-MESH, OTI 500, OTI 501, and Advanced Safety Certificate), safety program management, hazardous waste management, contractor safety management, industrial hygiene, SDS management and environmental management. Tom is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Zoology and is a lifelong North Carolina resident.
