It was wonderful to see so many of our chapter members at the two events hosted in October. Thank you to the Crowne Plaza St. Louis Airport for hosting the breakfast meeting with one of our strategic marketing partners, PSAV and Matt Harvey. The Q&A session led to great discussion topics amongst our members in regards to internet services. Thank you, also, to everyone that supported our fundraiser at Tropicana Lanes. Our chapter has some crazy bowlers.
People often ask me how I got my start with MPI. It all started when I attended EduCon 2006. I was energized by the networking and education sessions. As a supplier, I knew I wanted to try something new and walk in the shoes of a meeting planner. Click here to read more.

MPI St. Louis Homecoming Bowl FUNdraiser! Recap Rah, Rah, Sis, Boom Bah! The 2013 Homecoming Bowl held at Tropicana Lanes on October 23 was a HUGE success!!
From the starting line up to the spectators, we had 64 attendees at the Homecoming Bowl. Thank you to everyone who brought their school spirit for good times with friends and colleagues. The silent auction and 50/50 contributed to the success of the evening with items such as a lottery tree, hotel stays, and Blues tickets - just to name a few. Funds raised at the event will be allocated towards educational expenses, scholarships, and overall costs of the chapter. Click here to read more.

That is a mouthful for some of us… fortunately we are not alone. On Friday, October 11 over 60 of our St. Louis MPI members gathered to see old friends and to meet new ones. We were pleased with the turnout at the first monthly breakfast meeting hosted by the chapter in several years. Thank you to our meeting host, the landmark 351-room Crowne Plaza St. Louis Airport, which completed a $10 million renovation of its guest rooms and new design and finishes of public areas in early 2013.  Student Member Spotlight
Meet Jenna Fusinatto, a recent graduate of the University of Missouri, Columbia. She’s currently working at University of Missouri in the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism department as an Academic Advisor. In this role, Jenna helps students grow from freshmen to seniors, making sure they’re happy in their chosen path and keeping them motivated to finish all of their classes. She’s also done some planning in her role including organizing professional development events for students such as career fairs, employee panels, and mock networking. She’s recently planned a trip to St. Louis for 40 students to visit the St. Louis Rams Career Fair and a Monday night football game. Click here to read more.
