Milken Institute welcomes a new year, new Congress Mike Milken addressed members of the 114th Congress, including Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), at a Milken Institute reception on January 8 in Washington. The event brought lawmakers together with CEOs, ambassadors, academic leaders, philanthropists, and prominent voices in medical research and public health, including NIH Director Francis Collins and CDC Director Tom Frieden.
