Valley View Hospital Earns
Baby-Friendly Designation

The Family Birthplace at Valley View Hospital recently earned Baby-Friendly designation after a four-year certification process.
The designation, granted by the national organization Baby-Friendly USA, indicates that the Family Birthplace has successfully met criteria for specific initiatives involving prenatal and postpartum education, breastfeeding support and skin-to-skin contact between mother and baby in the critical hours after birth. read more

Mountain Family Health Centers Receive $30k Grant

With a generous $30k grant from the Aspen Community Foundation, Mountain Family Health Centers (MFHC) will be increasing hours for behavioral health staff and adding telehealth psychiatry services to be able to provide integrated behavioral health services to more MFHC patients in Basalt. read more

Montrose Memorial Hospital Awarded $5k Grant to Support Patient Care |
Montrose Memorial Hospital was recently awarded a $5k grant from the Mable Y. Hughes Charitable Trust.
The hospital will use the funds to support payment for UpToDate, a clinical decision support database made available to physicians and practitioners. The database enables caregivers to look up symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments for the latest evidence-based information and provide improved outcomes to patients. read more news from Montrose
