Here's to the Power of Rural

When you hear the word 'rural', what do you think of? Do pristine farm lands, red barns and friendly, salt-of-the-earth people come to mind? Or maybe a truck commercial? Not me. When I think of rural, I think of you, our members, and the power of WHA.

November 17th is National Rural Health Day, a day set aside by the National Organization of state Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) to "Celebrate the Power of Rural". With Grand Junction as the exception, all of the Western Healthcare Alliance members (you) work and play in rural areas.

SI Joint Fusions Performed at
Colorado Canyons Hospital and Medical Center

Family_Health_West_Logo
Larry Tice, MD, has a job that's a pain in the neck— and the back, arms, and legs—but he loves it. As a neurosurgeon, his job often is to alleviate pain that derives from conditions of the spinal column. He's been doing just that for 37 years in the Grand Valley, earning the respect of patients that he's helped and of other neurosurgeons he's collaborated with during that time.

Dr. Tice is the only physician in western Colorado that performs minimally invasive Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Fusions, a procedure that mitigates pain in patients suffering from SI disorders, including SI joint disruptions and degenerative sacroiliitis. read more
