Welcome Back MPI-CAC's New Executive Director
|
The MPI Chicago Area Chapter has a new Executive Director effective November 1, 2016, though many may recognize her. Nikki Augsburger was formerly MPI-CAC’s Association Manager from July 2010-May 2014. Nikki has been employed by MPI-CAC’s management company Meeting Expectations since July 2010 where she started with MPI-CAC responsible for member services, marketing, event registration and working closely with the committees and board of directors.
In May 2014, Nikki was promoted to the Executive Director of The Users Group, Inc. (TUG), a client also managed by Meeting Expectations. In her leadership role, Nikki assisted TUG with increasing membership, conference attendance and sponsorship, refreshed all member and event communications, introduced a social media presence and implemented numerous process and technology enhancements.
Prior to joining Meeting Expectations, Nikki developed a strong background in marketing and events through roles with Horseshoe Marketing, Muvico-Rosemont 18 Theaters/Bogart’s Bar & Grill, Hawthorne Racecourse and AAA-Chicago Motor Club.
The Board of Directors would like to thank Christie Pruyn, CAE, CIS for her dedication and service as MPI-CAC’s Executive Director for the past 2 ½ years and wish her much success as she grows her career in her new role as the Executive Director of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) based in Chicago.
Nikki is excited to be returning to MPI Chicago Area Chapter as the Executive Director on November 1 where she’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, serving as the key contact for the Board of Directors and providing strategic guidance towards achieving the Chapter’s overall objectives. She can be reached at naugsburger@mpicac.org or (630) 571-4480. Members may also reach the MPI-CAC headquarters office at (888) 721-8908.
