At Montrose Memorial Hospital's 45th Annual Fall Clinics event on Friday, September 23rd, two individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community.
The Fall Clinics Physician of the Year Award went to Dr. David Dreitlein. A Board-Certified physician specializing in Emergency Medicine at Montrose Memorial Hospital, Dr. Dreitlein was recognized by the Fall Clinics committee based on a number of criteria, including; innovative care, continuing education, ongoing contributions to quality medical care, and more. read more

Heart of the Rockies Foundation Awarded $200k DOLA Grant

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Foundation has received a $200,000 grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA). The funds will be used to help purchase a new CT scanner with cardiac capabilities for the Salida hospital. read more

Aspen Valley Hospital Achieves Level III Trauma Certification |
Trauma program reviewers with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment were one site at AVH in July, taking a good look at all aspects of their trauma program. Under the leadership of trauma/general surgeon Joe Livengood, MD; program manager Melanie Crandall, RN; and trauma coordinator Bll Stout, RN, Aspen is happy to report that they have once again received Level III trauma designation. read more news from Aspen
