Seeking Nominations for Excellence in Education Award

AdvancED Nebraska is requesting nominations for the Excellence in Education Award.  This state-level award is presented in each state to one individual who has demonstrated unparalleled leadership in promoting and advancing excellence in education.  Nominees may be teachers, administrators, board of education members, or community representatives.  Many individuals are making outstanding contributions to our young people and should have the opportunity to be recognized.

Criteria include a nominee’s success in the following areas:

  • Generates a common vision and mission for higher expectations among students, faculty, and the education community
  • Demonstrates a record of significant, distinguished contribution to the education profession
  • Provides a lasting impact on student learning
  • Serves as a role model and mentor for students and/or future generations of educators
  • Demonstrates significant professional contribution to NCA CASI and AdvancED schools

The Excellence in Education Award is a wonderful way to recognize a person who has done something special for the field of education.

A letter of nomination may be sent by anyone and should include the professional background of the nominee along with a description of his/her contributions and accomplishments and AdvancED-specific activities.  Please mail your nomination letter by December 5, 2012 to AdvancED Nebraska, PO Box 95163, Lincoln, NE 68509.
