NOTEWORTHY: CSPRC's e-newsletter                December 2011
CSPRC Monthly Meeting: January 10, 2012 Luncheon - "We're All A-Twitter!"
With the advent of social media, nonprofit organizations have gained a relatively low-cost vehicle for marketing and relationship-building.  Developing the expertise to use these tools effectively can be challenging, especially with a limited “time-budget”. Award-winning social media strategist and digital marketer Chris Reimer will share a case study on how he used Twitter to save Pratzel's Bakery in St. Louis and how to apply these principles to your non-profit.

Learn:
  • How to tell your nonprofit's story through social media.
  • How your nonprofit can use Twitter to raise awareness, money and volunteers.
Reimer was named “Most Influential Twitter User in St. Louis” by STLTweets.com, beating out more than 220,000 local Twitter users, and he won the Riverfront Times 2011 Web Award for the “Best Twitterer in St. Louis.” CSPRC is pleased he will be the keynote “tweeter” at our first 2012 luncheon on January 10.

Reimer is Social Media VP at Falk Harrison and Chief Shirtologist at Rizzo Tees.  He has more than 52,000 Twitter followers. Don’t miss this opportunity to up your game in the social networking arena. #dontmissthisprogram #tellallyourfriends #tweetinthenewyear #CSPRC

Thanks for attending the CSPRC December Luncheon!

CSPRC appreciates all t
he coordination and presentation efforts of our Program Committee volunteer Dorothy Carlin, Principal Strategist at Simply Strategy. The panelists she invited to discuss connecting with small businesses did a great job!

We are grateful to panelists Jennah Purk, CPA, MST, President of Purk & Associates, P.C.; Teresa Katubig, President and CEO of Extra Help, Inc., and Cynthia Brown, President of Shred-it; they each provided valuable and specific information about reaching out to small business owners, and the ways that they like to be involved in helping our community.

Perhaps the most-important tips they shared were about the ease of contacting them, and what moves them to partner with nonprofit organizations.  A benefit to dealing directly with decision makers is that they are human beings who can be touched by your agency’s stories.  They appreciate it knowing exactly what you want them to do to help.

Congratulations to Dennis Kramme of Emmaus Homes, Inc., the December winner of a free CSPRC luncheon!
