Hi Guys!

I hope that you are having a terrific summer and that all is well with your families and careers. We are still aways from fall and cooler weather, so please take care.

We are putting the final touches upon our Sponsorship campaign and do appreciate the generosity from all who support our GTC of IFMA Chapter. Without each of you, our Chapter would not enjoy the programming and activities we have. Thank you!

Please, please consider attending our summer picnic scheduled for August 22. Many hours and tremendous work has gone into making this a fun event and another opportunity to make new and grow existing friendships. Please bring your families and make it a great day!

Join us for our September 9^th luncheon meeting featuring State Auditor Beth Wood.  Beth will discuss how the Office of State Auditor agency ensures our tax dollars are being spent efficiently and review how they audit programs that affect our personal and professional lives.  The office audits more than $46 billion in state assets and $13.7 billion in liabilities each year. This includes each of the state’s 16 public universities every year and all of the state’s clerks of court offices on a rotating basis to ensure financial standards compliance.  Beth will highlight some cases the agency has worked on and give insight on how the agency operates.   Beth Wood is in her second term as North Carolina’s elected State Auditor.  She is a Certified Public Accountant and long-time public servant with more than 25 years of auditing experience.  Beth served in the State Auditor’s Office for more than a decade before being elected into this position.  She is the first woman elected to the position of State Auditor in North Carolina.  Please note that beginning with September our new luncheon location is Brier Creek Country Club, 9400 Club Hill Dr, Raleigh, NC 27617.

2nd Annual IFMA Picnic & Cornhole Tournament

SIGN UP NOW FOR THE SECOND ANNUAL IFMA FAMILY PICNIC & CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT!  Bring your family to Lake Wheeler Park for a food and fun filled picnic overlooking the lake - all compliments of IFMA.  The picnic and cornhole tournament will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 11am-3pm.  

Brush up your cornhole skills because during the 1pm-3pm portion, we'll have a tournament complete with complimentary beer & prizes. Start lining up your tourney partner (family member or colleague) and come up with a fun team name! 

This year bring boxes of wholesome breakfast cereal which will go to the Food Bank to feed children in need.  Consider starting a cereal drive at your office!  Please sign up by Wednesday, August 12, 2015!

Seeking Sponsors for the 10th Annual Joint Event

Hollywood! Red Carpet! Night at the Oscars! Latest Fashion! Champagne!  You’re invited to help celebrate the 10^th Annual Joint Networking Event!  As you know, this is the time our commercial real estate organizations join together to have fun, network, win raffle items and contribute to a select charity, but to be successful, we need your help! Please consider having your firm be a sponsor for the event to be held on Thursday, September 10th from 4:30PM to 7:00PM at Situs III, 1100 Situs Court, Raleigh, NC.  If you have participated in the past, you know that over 400 people attend the event each year.  Benefits of your $500 sponsorship include:  having your company name publicized in multiple email blasts to members of all of the commercial real estate groups (TCAR, TCREW, TRAOBA, BOMA, CCIM-NC, IFMA, and  IREM)…that’s over 1,200 people!
