PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
What a great meeting we had last week! If you were in attendance, I hope you learned something about the chapter operations and are as excited about the direction of the chapter this year as the leadership team is. If you could not make it, please feel free to reach out to me. I would love to share the 2021-2022 goals and how you can directly impact the chapter. As the sponsorship campaign is drawing to a close, thank you to those who have trusted us by providing financial support to move the chapter forward. To the professional members, thank you for considering our sponsors when you have a problem that requires their expertise.
Last month, I encouraged you to think about how you can introduce new members to the chapter, how you can bring your talents to a committee, or how you can share your knowledge with fellow chapter members. Just a few days ago, you heard about the committee goals. If you are looking for a way to expand your network and increase your engagement within the chapter, volunteer your time to a committee.
During our retreat, we discussed how we could engage our membership in different ways. Last year's virtual wine tastings were so successful that we decided to host a virtual wine tasting event again this August. Additionally, we are planning an afternoon educational session combined with a networking event on August 25.
The next few months will be busy with events hosted by our chapter, the Carolinas Summit and Gala, and World Workplace. One of our goals is to publish a quarterly calendar to help keep you informed of the events. We hope that providing you with advanced notice will help you plan your schedule so you can attend.
Lastly, if you haven't followed the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA social media pages, please connect with them to keep apprised of the latest information from the chapter.

GTC OF IFMA VIRTUAL WINE TASTING
The Networking & Events Committee has planned a grill-themed virtual wine tasting on August 19th via ZOOM from 5:00pm to 6:00pm!
Participant Cost - $30.00
Sponsorships - 3 Available @ $300 includes 1 registration and 3 min intro

UPDATES TO EVENTS DUE TO COVID
We are actively monitoring the COVID 19 situation. While our intent is to continue in-person meetings with the proper protocols in place, the safety of you, your family, and coworkers is of utmost importance. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility during these times and your understanding.
Based on guidelines and mandates, we may move our events around to provide the safest environment for our attendees. Please be sure to have your contact information updated with IFMA National, follow us on social media, and add our Chapter Administrator's email - ifmacandi@gmail.com - to your safe sender list. IFMA CAROLINAS 2ND ANNUAL EDUCATION SUMMIT AND AWARDS GALA
Please join the IFMA Carolina Chapters for the 2nd Annual IFMA Carolinas Education Summit and Awards Gala!

Join your fellow FM's and Service Providers for a day and night of education and celebration at our 2nd annual IFMA Carolina's Summit and Gala! This event kicks off with an Educational Summit featuring a presentation by guest speaker Jeff Ross-Bain, FM Professionals Panel Discussion and a 3rd speaker to be announced!
Educational summit is followed by a cocktail reception and awards dinner where we will celebrate the leaders in the FM industry in the Carolinas. Awards will be presented in the following four categories: FM of the Year, Service Provider of the Year, Innovation of the Year and Young Member of the Year.
To honor the FM's that have led our industry through this bustling economy, any Facility Manager can attend this event for FREE, regardless of whether they are an active chapter member or not. Service Providers who are active members of one of the five (5) Carolina chapters (Greenville SC, Upstate SC, Charlotte, Triad, Triangle) may purchase tickets for $125 each which provides full access to the educational sessions, cocktail reception and awards dinner and numerous opportunities for networking. Service Providers may also purchase tickets for additional members of their company who are not active members. Service Providers who do not have an active Chapter membership may not attend.

AWARD NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN for the IFMA Carolinas Summit and Gala!
The Carolina Chapters of IFMA (Upstate, SC; Columbia, SC; Charlotte, NC; Piedmont Triad, NC; Greater Triangle, NC) invite you to submit a nomination for the 2nd Annual IFMA Carolinas Summit and Gala, which honors the Best in the Carolinas in Facilities Management. IFMA Carolinas Awards will be presented to winners at a celebration on September 16, 2021. IFMA Carolinas Awards finalists and winners will be selected by a panel of judges in the following categories:
- FM Professional of the Year
- Associate Member of the Year
- Young Member of the Year (35 and younger)
- Innovation of the Year
