Certification Exam Site Problem
IMPORTANT - Certification offer by ISACA
Site 3301 – Columbia, SC – Exam Day Issue
ISACA has been informed by our testing agency of some disturbances at the December 2016 CISA, CRISC, CISM and CGEIT exam administration at the Columbia, South Carolina exam site. We understand that during the exam administration a fire alarm sounded requiring an evacuation. We were also informed that an event next to the testing rooms resulted in extraneous noise throughout the exam administration. ISACA sincerely apologizes for the testing environment under which you took the exam.
To be equitable to all exam candidates adversely affected by this unfortunate situation, ISACA is providing a free May/June 2017 re-take of their respective exam to candidates who do not pass the exam. For those that do pass, you can proceed with applying for certification. Exam result emails will be distributed in January 2017.
Starting in 2017 the ISACA exams will be administered via computer-based testing (CBT). The first testing window will be 1 May – 30 June 2017. For those candidates that do not pass the December 2016 exam, ISACA will automatically move exam details to this testing window. Once moved, a confirmation of exam registration will be sent to these individuals. This confirmation will include details regarding CBT testing and instructions on scheduling your testing appointment.
With the conversion to CBT, ISACA will be taking advantage of the network of exam locations our testing vendor offers that should minimize any distractions that occur during future exams. We anticipate that the CBT sites will reduce potential distractions and be more conducive to the exam taking experience.
