2017 Colorado Healthy Schools Summit sold out
Registration for the 2017 Colorado Healthy Schools Summit is now closed. Thanks to the nearly 400 Coloradans who will be joining us for this day to celebrate schools from all over the state who are bringing all of the pieces together to create safe and healthy learning environments for our students.

For those who will be joining us, we encourage you to preview the breakout sessions that will be offered to better plan your day. For the many of you who are not able to join us "live" on March 3, we hope you'll consider joining us virtually by watching the livestream of the Healthy School Champion's Breakfast event, featuring CDE Commissioner Dr. Katy Anthes, CDPHE Executive Director Dr. Larry Wolk, and inspirational addresses from Colorado educators and students.

SpaceLab Design Network Lineup Announced
SpaceLab Design Network
The SpaceLab Design Network is ready to launch, following the review of more than 100 applications from educators, business, and community leaders. The Network kicks off this week with the announcement of 30 participants and the debut of the Learners of Colorado blog.

APSIvideoTNRegistration is now open for the 2017 AP for All Summer Institute (APSI). This event will provide AP teachers with tools, strategies, and resources to ensure all students succeed — including students typically underrepresented in AP courses such as students of poverty and color. Watch this video to see what makes CEI'S APSI a leader in the field of professional development for teachers.


New Resource: Integrated Instructional Units

Colorado teacher-authored instructional unit samples are now available in all grades and subjects. These instructional units were written by and for Colorado educators as a way to understand and translate the Colorado Academic Standards-based curriculum overviews into instructional units.


Participants Sought for Colorado Standards Review and Revision Cycle

State law requires a review and revision of the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) by July 2018 and every six years thereafter. CDE is currently developing a plan to guide the upcoming standards review and revision process and is actively seeking input from all interested parties to inform its planning process.


Did You Know?

187 educators made their voices heard at the January Colorado ESSA Summit.Now you have an opportunity to provide input. The Colorado Department of Education is seeking public comment on the draft of the ESSA State Plan through March 10, 2017.
