MassCUE Elections: This spring MassCUE Members will elect four (4) at-large members to the MassCUE Board. If you are interested in running, please submit the materials listed here (under the Nomination Procedure tab) to elections@masscue.org by Friday, April 15, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

The voting window will open later this month, at which time a link for the ballot will be sent out to our membership. Your membership must be valid before April 1, 2022 in order to be eligible to vote. You may log in to your membership profile to make sure your membership is current.

9. Tech & Learning Leadership Summit
           
May 6, 2022 8:30 AM to 5:00 pm


Tech & Learning is hosting a Leadership Summit at the Connors Center in Dover, MA. District administrators are invited to apply to attend at no charge. This is an intimate, invitation-only event for district leaders and includes interactive workshops and panel discussions designed to support school planning during this challenging time.

10. Influence and Advocacy Committee Update 

EdTech Virtual Fly-in: On March 9, 2022 four members of the Influence and Advocacy Committee attended an afternoon of meetings to discuss current federal initiatives in educational technology. Colleen Terrill, Heidi MacGregor, Jenn Judkins and Karen Winsper met with representatives from Senator Ed Markey's and Senator Elizabeth Warren's offices. Later in the afternoon, our team participated in a roundtable discussion with the Department of Education. The primary issues discussed were Student Data Privacy and K-12 Cybersecurity. This event was organized by CoSN, SETDA, ISTE, and SIIA and was attended by educators and administrators from 34 states.

11.  Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Update  

MassCUE DEI Committee would like to share the following resources to our learning community:

Join Flipgrid Live and #1 New York Times best-selling author and educator Dr. Ibram X. Kendi for an honest and accessible conversation about Stamped (For Kids) and Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You. Dr. Kendi will share the inspiration behind his work, give an overview of what his book has to offer to young readers, and take questions from students. Through Flipgrid Live Events you can connect your students with experts, and they can ask their questions live via a fully moderated chat.

12. MassCUE Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are a great way to connect and share ideas with other educators in an area of interest or region.

Join the MassCUE Makerspace and STEM SIG for an in-person meetup on April 12, 2022 at the Littleton High School Library. The group will discuss Rube Goldberg machines with partner Teq, followed by ice cream at Kimball Farm.

Receive PDPs and fulfill MA re-certification requirements for FREE with your MassCUE Membership using Infobase Learning Cloud. 

Infobase Learning Cloud is an online professional learning system designed to meet the needs of today’s schools. Infobase’s resources help ensure educators have the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to provide engaging, meaningful learning experiences. The resources include short videos as well as self-paced workshops. 

All learning can be done on your own time from anywhere, and you receive your certificate upon completion of the Infobase Learning Cloud module.  Infobase offers a wide range of training webinars.  Be sure to check their library of archived webinars.
