"Here's to Our WHA Members!"
Happy New Year! It's been quite a year with a host of accomplishments thanks to your participation in WHA and your commitment to the health of your communities. Your collaboration has enabled us to develop business solutions to ensure rural healthcare remains independent and strong. As we say goodbye to friends who are headed on new journeys, like Tom Northey (previous WHA VP of IT Strategy who joined Kaiser in January), and welcome in new ones like Connie Mack (new Community Care Alliance Executive Director), we celebrate all of you and your dedication to our hospitals and clinics.
Working with you has been inspirational and we are incredibly honored to serve our members who make this healthcare adventure such an enriching learning experience. Speaking of adventure, I look forward to seeing you all at the 2017 Western Healthcare Alliance Annual Summit February 8th – 10th!

WHAt's in Your Culture? |
We all want to work for an organization that effects positive change and is known for excellence, vision, and world-class leadership; one with a clear mission and strategy. We want to say the name of our employer and gain immediate respect from our friends, family and the community. However, many of us realize that our departments often do not represent the overall values of our organizations. The leadership is more interested in saving face than making decisions based on integrity. Staff members talk about one another in highly negative terms. Complaining and whining are the most common modes of communication and there is little respect for the contribution of others on the team. Does this sound familiar to you?
Please join us February 10th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm as Jo Anne Preston leads the WHA Effective Leadership Class entitled, “Thank God It’s Monday: Creating a Positive Work Culture.” learn more and register
