My dear friends in Christ, what a conference season. It seems like we have lived through years in the past few months! I want to thank you again for bearing with us as we have dealt with all of the moving parts the Coronavirus has thrown at us this season. Now that we have clarity on all four of the conference sites, I wanted to touch base with you one last time before pausing for a bit until the Virtual Conference.
If you have not yet filled out the questionnaire for your conference site, please do so by June 1st. If you have any questions or need some clarification on the options, please don't hesitate to reach out.

You have already been given some early information about the Virtual Conference. Check the links to the right if you need a refresher. Registration to the general public will be open on June 1st on our brand new website. We can't wait to share our newly built and rebranded online presence with you this summer and especially at our first ever Virtual Conference! Consider joining with other local churches or crafting a congregational retreat around the VC. The opportunities are endless! Watch for resources over the summer to support you in those plans.
On a personal note, I've been blessed to get to know many of you over the years in my various roles in this organization. I have loved seeing you at conferences and hearing about your family's milestones and health, or catching up on what's going on in your life each summer. I had very much been looking forward to sharing this season with you as my first in the role of Executive. I mourn the loss of this time together with you, but know that the Lord works all things for good. This too will be gift! While there will be sadness this summer without having thousands of youth gathering together in worship, learning, and fun, there will also be great joy in sharing in the Virtual Conference. It will be a great reminder that it is not just proximity that knits us together in the body of Christ, but rather the undeniable truth of what He says we are: heirs to His kingdom and therefore members of the same family regardless of where we are physically located.
I want to thank those of you who have reached out with words of encouragement and support over these last few weeks, and those who have graciously donated their registration balances to our organization. We exist to teach the youth of the church what it means to Dare to be Lutheran! We can only do that with your support. So thank you!
