FoodBytes! Alum Vence Raises $12M with Rabo Food & Agri Innovation Fund
The 2017 Pitch alum raised this Series A to enable rotational grazing with their virtual fencing technology. The round was led by Tyche Ventures and joined by Rabobank's own fund, RFAIF.

FUNDRAISING: Over $50M in fundraising this past month:
- May 4: Mazen Animal Health raised $2M of seed funding in a deal led by Next Level Ventures. The funds will be used to further regulatory development for Mazen's lead Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) vaccine candidate, scale-up of pipeline products, and preparation for registration studies.
- May 4: Renewal Mill raised $1M of venture funding from ICA Fund Good Jobs and other undisclosed investors. The funds will be used to further accelerate the B2B sales of the company's second ingredient, oat protein made from the byproduct of oat milk production, and to grow retail sales of the baking mix line.
- April 20: Bushel raised $47M of Series C venture funding in a deal led by Continental Grain Company (a Pitch member) and Lewis & Clark AgriFood. The funds will be used to introduce payments, credit, trading offerings, and increased data services, including capabilities to help consumer brands sustainably source commodities in the global grain supply chain along with accelerating Bushel's current product offerings.
- April 20: Evo Foods raised $0.84M of pre-seed funding from Inventus Law, Better Capital (India), and Kale United. The funds will be used to gear up for its launch in the Indian market as well as scale its R&D and Marketing team to prepare for an international launch in 2022.
