Greater Triangle Chapter's Mike Bradley Memorial IFMA Foundation Golf Tournament Scholarship Awarded

In May’s Greater Triangle Chapter newsletter, Todd Taintor, Chair of the annual GTC golf tournament, reported that despite 1.96 inches of rain in the week before the contest, our Chapter hosted its 14th sold-out tournament with 130 participants. The tournament raised enough money for us to sponsor an $8,000 facility management-related scholarship through the IFMA Foundation to help a student, either undergraduate or graduate level, who has chosen a Facility Management–related career path at an accredited university.
Golf Event Highlights

The 2017 Mike Bradley Memorial IFMA Foundation Golf Tournament Scholarship was awarded to Justin Dodd.  Justin is pursuing a Master’s Degree at UNC-Charlotte in Construction and Facilities Management.  The scholarship will be awarded to him at IFMA’s World Workplace Scholarship Dinner in Houston, TX on October 17, 2017.

According to the IFMA Foundation website, “The IFMA Foundation is dedicated to the mission of promoting education for the facility management profession around the world and making FM a Career of Choice.” To learn more about the IFMA Foundation, you can visit their website.  As Buck Fisher, Co-Chair of the tournament and IFMA Fellow commented, the GTC Golf Tournament, “is a great opportunity to enhance the future of our profession.”
