Cvent CEO Reggie Aggarwal Named a Top 100 Tech Titan by Washingtonian Magazine

April 28, 2011 – NEW YORK and MCLEAN, VA – Cvent, the world's largest provider of online event management, meeting site selection and web survey solutions, today announced that its founder and CEO, Reggie Aggarwal, was selected as a 2011 Top 100 "Tech Titan" by Washingtonian magazine. This is Aggarwal's second appearance on the list, which recognizes the Washington region's top 100 technology leaders based on their proven track record of success and influence as a leader and visionary.

Aggarwal was chosen following an extensive selection process that included interviews with the region's most powerful tech figures. Other notable Tech Titans on the Washingtonian's list include: Donald E. Graham, CEO of The Washington Post Company; Wes Bush, CEO and President of Northrop Grumman; Walter P. Havenstein, CEO of SAIC and Mark D. McLaughlin, President and CEO of VeriSign.

Aggarwal founded Cvent in 1999 as a local two-person start-up. Today, the global meetings management technology company has more than 800 employees and 150,000 users in 100 countries, despite two economic recessions. Aggarwal has propelled Cvent into the position of the world's largest meeting and event management technology company, the largest source of group business leads in the world for hotels and event venues, and a leader in the fields of Strategic Meetings Management and web surveys.

In addition to Cvent, Reggie is the founder and Chairman Emeritus of the Indian CEO High Tech Council, now the Washington, D.C. chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE-DC). He has been named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year ®, appointed by the Governor of Virginia to be Chairman of the Chief Information Officer's Advisory Commission, and served on the Board of Directors of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, Inova Healthcare System, and the D.C. Chamber of Commerce. He was also on the Global Board of Trustees of TiE and Sales and Marketing Executives International.
