2019 Integrated Environmental Controls Workshop - November 2019

Summary

This two-day Workshop will give attendees the latest information and user experiences on control technology options for reliable and efficient compliance with impending emissions regulations. Emphasis will be on recently experienced issues and needed solutions, and will include ample discussion in an informal, collaborative setting. The workshop will address issues experienced for all major pollution controls components and will include sessions covering FGD chemistry and operations, sorbents and chemical injection technologies, SCR performance, particulate control, impacts of fuel quality and combustion, flexible operation, multi-media impacts, integration of environmental control technologies into plant operations, and other environmental controls issues. Attendance is limited to P75 funders.

Expected Goal/Outcome for this Event

Improved understanding of all integrated environmental controls issues needed for compliance with impending regulations. A further objective is to assess ways of achieving and maintaining environmental compliance in an integrated, holistic manner, such that total cost and risk to system reliability are minimized.  Participants’ input will be used to define and initiate needed efforts in EPRI’s P75 program.
