Evolution from the Specialist to the Generalist
CFA Society Toronto is pleased to announce the return of our Annual Wealth Conference, now offered as an online webinar series.

As the number of competitors fighting to serve high net-worth clients increases so does the need to ensure that we all provide our clients with quality advice. It appears that the leading advisors are those that can evolve their business to focus on building a wealth program for their clients rather than the much more traditional one dimensional investment program.

High net-worth clients continue to demand that all of their advisors work together, and this collaborative client centric approach is becoming the new industry standard. Meaning that as investment advisors we need to continue to broaden the scope of our knowledge in order to be able to effectively communicate with our client's other advisors. This year's conference features a number of sessions which are designed to helps us all manage risks that are found outside of our client's traditional portfolios.

SESSION 2: Mental Health & the Financial Advice Relationship
Mental health has become a matter of increasing public concern worldwide. In Canada, by age 40, half of the population will have, or will have had, a mental illness. In 2016, Bridgehouse Asset Managers identified a connection between mental health and sound financial decision-making and partnered with the Canadian Mental Health Association–Toronto (CMHA) to lean on their mental health expertise. This collaboration has broken new ground by rallying Canada’s investment sector – companies and regulators – to consider solutions to this complex issue. In this presentation, you’ll learn tips & strategies for working with clients experiencing mental health challenges and discover how to maintain balance & set boundaries and get practical tools you can use with your clients.
