Evolution from the Specialist to the Generalist
CFA Society Toronto is pleased to announce the return of our Annual Wealth Conference, now offered as an online webinar series.

As the number of competitors fighting to serve high net-worth clients increases so does the need to ensure that we all provide our clients with quality advice. It appears that the leading advisors are those that can evolve their business to focus on building a wealth program for their clients rather than the much more traditional one dimensional investment program.

High net-worth clients continue to demand that all of their advisors work together, and this collaborative client centric approach is becoming the new industry standard. Meaning that as investment advisors we need to continue to broaden the scope of our knowledge in order to be able to effectively communicate with our client's other advisors. This year's conference features a number of sessions which are designed to helps us all manage risks that are found outside of our client's traditional portfolios.

SESSION 4: Philanthropy Is More Than a Tax Receipt (Panel Discussion)
Today’s philanthropy is about so much more than a tax receipt. Whether an individual, family or business, most people want to know they are making an impact in an area that is important to them – and do it in the most effective manner.
This session begins with a framework for “strategic” philanthropy. We will hear from respected thought leaders about trends, opportunities, expectations and also their personal experiences delivering on these. Combined, participants will be better prepared to meet the needs and expectations of their clients in a way that differentiates their practice from the traditional approach to charitable giving as part of individual or business strategy.

Panelists:
Beth Webel, National Personal Tax Leader, PwC Canada
Bill Young, Founder, Social Capital Partners
Bruce Macdonald, President & CEO, Imagine Canada
Moderator:
Sheree Meredith, Principal, Sheree Meredith Consulting
