Question: How do I book my hotel room?
Answer:

You will receive a link to book your hotel room at the CSTA rate once you have completed your registration.

CSTA has a special room rate of $165 + tax per night at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City and the Hilton Crystal City.

Question: What time does the conference begin and end?
Answer:

The 2020 CSTA Annual Conference begins with a welcome reception on Sunday, July 12 and ends mid-day on Wednesday, July 15. 

Pre-conference workshops can be purchased for an additional fee and will be offered Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12. 

Question: How do I submit a proposal?
Answer:

Unfortunately the Call for Proposals has closed at this time and we are unable to accept additional submissions. 

Question: When does registration close?
Answer: Registration will close on July 1, 2020. The event will likely sell out prior to this date, so be sure to register early to ensure you can attend!
Question: Will I have access to the presentations after the conference concludes if I don’t register to attend?
Answer: Presentations from the conference will be available to CSTA+ members only at the conclusion of the conference. 
Question: How can I view the conference agenda?
Answer: Content is scheduled to go live in early December. Please visit the 2020 Call for Proposals landing page to submit a presentation! All proposals must be submitted by Sept.29, 2019.
Question: Does CSTA offer scholarships to assist educators in paying for the total cost of attendance? If so, when does the application open? What are the criteria for a scholarship?
Answer:

Yes, scholarships will be available to help offset registration and travel costs. Scholarship applications will open soon. Please check back later this fall to apply.

These scholarships are made possible by private foundations and corporations, who are dedicated to the development of computer science educators. Contact Daniel Rosenstein, Manager of Philanthropy and Community Partnerships, with questions.

 
Question: I received a scholarship in 2019. Am I able to receive a scholarship for CSTA 2020?
Answer: All are welcome to apply for a 2020 conference scholarship, but eligibility will vary based on the funder. Please check back later this fall for more details on scholarship eligibility. 
Question: I submitted a proposal. When will I know if it was selected?
Answer:

Presenter notifications will be send in mid-November. You should expect to know if your proposal was accepted before Thanksgiving.
