Workshop A: Approach to febrile children from birth until the 3rd year of life.

Objectives:
By the end of the workshop attendees will be able to:
- Properly manage febrile babies without focus from birth until the end of the third month of life
- Properly manage febrile children without focus from the fourth month until the end of the third year of life
Methods:
This will be an interactive workshop with questions and answers. Common –yet challenging- cases from every day practice will be presented. Answers will provide evidence based management tips depending on the most recent clinical practice guidelines.
Benefts Of Attending: The course will address the following areas:
- The risk of serious bacterial infection in each age group
- The appropriate investigations to be ordered in each age group
- The appropriate choice of empirical antibiotics to be used –if indicated- in each age group

Workshop B: Implementing Antimicrobial Stewardship: Tackling the Roadblocks

Objectives:
By the end of the workshop attendees will be able to:
- Discuss the main strategies of implementing an antimicrobial stewardship program
- Discuss common challenges encountered when implementing an ASP
- Demonstrate methodologies for overcoming challenge during implementation of an ASP
Methods:
This is a combination of didactic as well as interactive group discussion, with practical exercises and polling questions utilizing poll everywhere, or kahoot as a polling tool.

The course will address the following areas:
- Principles in implementation of ASP encountered when implementing ASP
- Methods and solutions used for overcoming those challenges and ensuring effectiveness of the program

Workshop C: Adult Vaccination Challenges and Myths and Enhancing Awareness-Role of HCP’S

Introduction:
Despite the success of routine immunization programmes, national vaccine supply chains are now strained to effectively manage the surge of the traditional and new vaccines introductions, adapt to the needs of new delivery strategies, and benefit from new technological advances in supply chain equipment to increase their efficiency and effectiveness.
Objectives:
By the end of the workshop attendees will be able to:
- ensure proper functioning of all supply chain equipment (ie refrigerator, cold and freezer rooms), for adequate conservation of vaccines
- know the optimum vaccine storage temperature at all stages of receiving, transportation and storage, from the national level to the point of administration
- Supply chain barriers and possible interventions
- The role of the supply chain is to ensure effective vaccine storage, handling, and stock management; rigorous temperature control in the cold chain; and maintenance of adequate logistics management information systems
Methods:
The workshop will use:
Background in the form of PowerPoint presentation, on the importance of supply chain, global and regional situation and key issues related. This will follow by group discussions based on supply chain key issues and barrier. Through the discussion will also discuss the current practices and share experiences on best interventions to overcome these barriers. This will follow up a summary and conclusions

Successful immunization programmes are built on functional, end-to-end supply chain and logistics systems. The ultimate goal is to ensure the uninterrupted availability of quality vaccines from manufacturer to service-delivery levels, so that opportunities to vaccinate are not missed because vaccines are unavailable. This requires a system to achieve the six rights of supply-chain management
