ASME/EPRI Radwaste Workshop and EPRI International Low Level Waste Conference & Exhibit Show - June 2019

Please note attendance at this meeting is subject to US Export Control regulations. Registering prior to the meeting will ensure applicable export control regulations are complied with and avoid possible delays or denied access at check in.

Summary

The overall objective/goal of the meeting is to:
Provide attendees with up to date information about low level radioactive waste (LLW) management strategies, techniques, technologies, lessons learned and experiences to support robust, efficient, and optimized radwaste operations at nuclear power plants.

How attendance will support your plant or organization:
Attendees can take back the information gained from the Workshop and Conference to enhance and optimize their own nuclear power plant radwaste operations. Enhancement may include reduced waste volumes, more efficient liquid radwaste processing, reduced personnel dose exposure, reduced effluents and impact on the public and the environment and reduced operational costs.

Who Should Attend:
• International Nuclear Power Plant Radwaste Managers, Staff, Scientist, Engineers, and Technicians
• International LLW related service and technology providers and developers
    o Disposal site representatives
o Equipment, Tools, and Packaging providers
    o Decontamination service providers
o Liquid radwaste processing equipment service providers
o Radiation Protection equipment and service providers
    o Others
• International organizations (e.g., IAEA, NEI, INPO, US NRC, State Compacts, etc.) involved in radwaste policies, regulations, and collaborations.

Additional Benefits of Attending in Person

The Workshop and Conference are excellent opportunities for networking with other radwaste management professionals. Utility representatives can network with their peers at other plants for knowledge transfer, benchmarking, and operating experience sharing. Utility representatives and service/technology providers can connect to share the latest news and developments on products and services available.

Background on program/past meetings on this topic:
The ASME/EPRI Radwaste Workshop and EPRI International Low Level Waste Conference and Exhibit Show has been valuable venues for nuclear power plant radwaste management and technology knowledge exchange since 1979 and 1992, respectively.
