Since its inception, Bitcoin has peaked and troughed along. No worse for the wear, this new digital currency is now a trillion-dollar asset created ‘out of thin air’. Its skeptics are resolute. Its believers view it as a religion. As investment professionals, what are we left to do?

For the inaugural session of CFA Society Toronto’s new Crypto Series, we will be speaking with Som Seif, CFA, Founder and CEO of Purpose Investment Inc. about the up- and down-sides of investing in a Bitcoin-based ETF, as well as sharing his outlook on the future of Bitcoin. Som will be joined by fireside chat moderator, Richard Talbot, CFA, former COO and co-head of Global Research for RBC Capital Markets.
