About the Speakers

• Brie Arthur is known for her leadership with the suburban Foodscape movement and her work with public schools; she is a celebrated speaker and bestselling author. A recipient of an American Horticultural Society Award, Brie has worked as a grower and propagator for leading nurseries. Her interests center on sustainable land management and promoting the value of gardening. Her first book, The Foodscape Revolution, laid the groundwork for realizing the full potential of growing fruits and veggies alongside traditional plantings. Her new Gardening with Grains shows how grains can also be both ornamental and edible additions to residential landscapes.
  
  
• Kelly D. Norris is one of the leading horticulturists of his generation. An award-winning author and plantsman, Kelly’s work in gardens has been featured in The New York Times, Organic Gardening, Better Homes and Gardens, Martha Stewart Living, Fine Gardening and Garden Design and in numerous local and regional media appearances. His enthusiasm for planting at the intersections of horticulture and ecology has culminated in a new book New Naturalism: Designing and Planting a Resilient, Ecologically Vibrant Home Garden which debuts January 2021 from Cool Springs Press.
