The ISACA Central Maryland Chapter invites you to our training event on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. ISACA Members, cyberaudit, assurance, Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX), risk management, governance, and internal control professionals and practitioners new to the field and those with years of experience will benefit from this event. The training event offers an opportunity to expand your network and build onto your knowledge and skills. The training session is conveniently located at The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute (CCMIT) in Linthicum, Maryland.
Topic #1: What Are Those Data Breach Reports Telling Us?
Mr. Wlosinski will be reviewing a variety of data breach reports from a management perspective. Topics to be covered include the Verison 2016 Data Breach, the OPM Data Breach, and data breach analysis and reports from Gemalto, Kroll, Online Trust Alliance, and the Washington Legal Foundation. An analysis of breaches to the NIST Critical Security Controls (CSC) and the Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) Core will also be provided. Attendees will learn about the types of data breaches, metrics and trends, lessons learned, incident response and preparedness, and more. The presentation is intended for IT security management, security support staff, Project Managers, IT security professionals, and privacy professionals.
Topic #2: Privacy: From A Data Governance Perspective
Mr. Wlosinski will be reviewing privacy from a data governance perspective. Topics to be covered include federal government privacy requirements and directives, governance considerations, the OMB privacy guidance, How to Build Privacy Protection into Systems, NIST privacy controls, and more. Attendees will learn data collection considerations, data protection lessons learned and best practices, and other sources of information. The presentation is intended for privacy managers, IT security management, IT security support staff, Project Managers, and IT security professionals.

Cancellation Notice: Full refunds will be given if registration is cancelled prior to noon on Friday, April 7, by contacting Pat Hamilton via email at arrangements@isaca-cmc.org. Refunds will not be given after that date, although attendance is transferable. Reservations made after this time will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, but cannot be guaranteed due to space limitations. ISACA Central Maryland Chapter reserves the right to cancel this event if there is not sufficient participation or due to inclement weather. Participants will be notified in the event that the monthly meeting has been cancelled and paid registrations will be refunded.
