ISACA Members, cyberaudit, assurance, Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX), risk management, governance, and internal control professionals and practitioners new to the field and those with years of experience will benefit from this event. The training event offers an opportunity to expand your network and build onto your knowledge and skills. The training session is conveniently located at The Conference Center at the Maritime Institute (CCMIT) in Linthicum, Maryland.
Topic: CMMI Cybermaturity Platform Workshop
Evolving technologies, threats, and business priorities require cybersecurity programs to continually change and improve. Leadership must understand where the cybersecurity program is today as well as the business risks that need to be addressed to enable productive evolution and keep their program on track. Come learn about the CMMI Cybermaturity Platform from CMMI Institute, an ISACA Enterprise and how its methodology can help organizations build resilience and reduce risk.
The CMMI Cybermaturity Platform provides a risk-based, capability driven approach to measuring and managing security risks in the context of your business mission and strategy. Facilitating a cyber risk discussion can seem daunting whether you work in a small business or a global enterprise. Many organizations are familiar with their business risks, but don’t know how they relate to cybersecurity. Learn how to leverage your understanding of business risks to identify your greatest cyber risks and build a strategy to protect what matters most.
Having a plan, while critically important, is only the start in the continual journey for cybersecurity improvements. Effectively measuring and monitoring your progress will ensure your program remains on track and adapts as necessary. During this session, we’ll discuss the methods the CMMI-CP provides for measuring capabilities, tracking progress, and maintaining your target goals to ensure your cybersecurity program remains on track to ensure business success.
As a result of this training session:
- Trainees will understand the risk-based approach leveraged within CMMI-CP to identify Target Maturity levels.
- Trainees will be able to identify the security models, frameworks, and standards reflected in the CMMI-CP model.
- Trainees will be able to explain how a Capabilities Assessment can be used to understand current maturity levels then leverage the information to identify gaps in a security program.
- Trainees will understand the information conveyed within the CMMI-CP reports and charts, including the Roadmap for improvements.
