Lecture Description

CBCT imaging technology was first developed for software that allowed the clinician the opportunity to diagnosis and treat surgical patients. However, CBCT dicom files can now be used in prosthetics, endodontics, and orthodontics. This presentation will allow the participant the opportunity to view how modern CBCT scanning will start and/or facilitate a digital workflow in dental practice.

Learning Objectives

• Digital advancements in areas such as intraoral scanning and 3-D printing are promoting greater efficiency while expanding the workflow options available to general dentists, periodontists, oral surgeons, and orthodontists. Digital workflows will be demonstrated to meet the individual treatment needs of each patient or for allowing a better interdisciplinary workflow.
• Patients will seek dentists who can offer services that are efficient, affordable, and allow patients the opportunity to reduce disabilities caused by the effects of dental disease. We will be discussing how 3D Navigational software and hardware can be used for “Quicker to Teeth” solutions that provide clinical outcomes supported by evidence-based care and allow the dentist to obtain profitability in their practice.
