Keeping academic medicine connected
While we’d all love to see each other in person in November, Learn Serve Lead 2020: The Virtual Experience will still allow you to reconnect with colleagues and make new connections. This year’s conference will offer innovative ways to achieve your networking goals and build relationships so you can continue to connect throughout the next year. We’ve planned an agenda that allows you the time and space for networking with peers and forging new collaborations, whether in one-on-one or group settings. Below are this year’s networking features.
Visit the Networking Lounge to continue conversations prompted by breakout or plenary sessions. The lounge will give attendees an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions throughout the meeting. Search and connect with your peers, create or sign up for a roundtable, or check your score on the leaderboard.
Do you feel passionate about a specific subject or topic? Sign up for a roundtable to share your knowledge or learn more about a topic you’re passionate about! These peer-to-peer or small group meetings typically last 15-30 minutes and are driven by attendees’ schedules. Participants submit topics they are interested in talking about with their peers. From there, anyone interested in that topic can request a roundtable. These meetings will take place throughout the schedule, except during the plenary sessions. Roundtables will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to participate in connected networking based on their pressing needs or interests.
Want to connect with other attendees who understand you and your role in the field of academic medicine? Registrant matchmaking will make sure you find those people. Using your registration profile, job description, and other demographics, the AAMC will help you virtually connect with like-minded peers so you can learn from one another.
Whether you’re looking for a way to energize yourself for the day ahead or clear your mind, several fitness opportunities will be available. Before and after each day’s scheduled events, you’ll have access to on-demand yoga and meditation sessions.
Throughout Learn Serve Lead 2020, attendees can look forward to musical performances before and after select sessions.
