Deborah Adell, PhD, APRN
Dr. Adell has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for twenty-three years. Her PhD is in Human Development with an emphasis on Health Promotion. Over the last twenty years, she has served as faculty member and department chair for Family and Adult Nurse Practitioner programs.
Nancy R. Berman, MSN, ANP-BC, NCMP, FAANP
Nancy R. Berman has been in practice as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with emphasis in women’s health care since 1978. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Currently, she specializes in women’s health care at Millennium Affiliated Physicians, a division of Michigan Healthcare Professionals, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She is a clinical instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She holds the certification of Menopause Practitioner from the North American Menopause Society. She is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Ms. Berman has taught extensively on lower genital tract disease, including HPV, cervical cancer prevention, HPV testing and HPV vaccine, management of the abnormal Pap test, colposcopy and vulvar and vaginal disease. She has also been active in education in the management of menopause and osteoporosis. She served on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) from 2009 to 2016, co-chaired their education committee, and holds their Colposcopy Recognition Award. She serves on the Michigan Cervical Cancer Consortium and served on the Michigan Governor’s Task Force on Cervical Cancer. Recent publications by Ms. Berman have appeared in The Journal for Nurse Practitioners, ADVANCE for Nurse Practitioners, Women’s Health in Primary Care, and chapters in Advanced Health Assessment of Women 4th edition and the Atlas of Primary Care Procedures, 3rd edition, Lippincott, Williams.

Terry Mahan Buttaro, PhD, AGPCNP-BC, FAANP, FNAP
Terry Mahan Buttaro is a practicing Adult/Gerontology primary care provider responsible for the care and management of acute and chronically ill adults and elders residing at home including case management and crisis intervention. She is the author/editor of several nurse practitioner texts including the soon to be published 6th edition of Primary Care: A Collaborative Practice and Case Studies in Geriatric Primary Care & Multimorbidity Management.

Nancy Dirubbo, DNP, FNP, FAANP, CTH
Dr. Nancy E Dirubbo is a family nurse practitioner who graduated from Northeastern University’s Nurse Practitioner Program in 1978 and the DNP (Doctorate in Nursing) program in 2015.

She earned her Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. From 1985 to 2015 she had her own primary care practice, Laconia Women’s Health Center, which was one the first NP owned primary care practices in the US. She owns two other businesses now - Travel Health of New Hampshire which she started in 2008 and Beacon Continuing Education that she formed in 2015 providing continuing education live, online and takes NPs on CE trips abroad. She is an avid traveler and has led groups to Lithuania, Russia, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. Her next CE lead trip will be to Amsterdam. She is a Fellow of the AANP and the American Travel Health Nurses Assoc. She has been published and lectures nationally and internationally.

Charrita Ernewein, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, SANE-A
Charrita Ernewein, DNP, ARNP, FNP-C, SANE-A is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in acute care and pediatrics in the Hillsborough County School District. Dr. Ernewein also works for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. Dr. Ernewein completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988, her Master of Science at South University in 2013 and her Doctoral Nurse Practitioner in 2016 at South University in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Ernewein is currently enrolled full time at University of Central Florida in the PhD program. Dr. Ernewein holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.

Dr. Ernewein is a strong advocate within the community working closely with professional organizations and community resources regarding the topics of human trafficking and vulnerable populations. As a part of the Tampa Speakers Bureau, Dr. Ernewein worked closely with the department of homeland security to develop and implement a training for healthcare providers within the community. Dr. Ernewein has provided human trafficking trainings at local conferences and to the Hillsborough County School District healthcare providers, local hospitals, residents, and numerous universities. Dr. Ernewein has also participated in numerous panel discussions within the community regarding human trafficking.

Dr. Ernewein was a member of the Clearwater Task Force Group and remains actively engaged in several community organizations such as the FREE Network and University of Central Florida Human Trafficking Awareness Group. She is also published in the Journal of Nurse Practitioners, Human Trafficking: Recognition, Referral and Treatment.

Dr. Ernewein is the President of the Tampa Bay Advanced Practice Nurse Council Group, a member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioner, a member of the American Nurses Association, and a member of the National Association of School Nurses.
Loretta C. Ford, EdD, PNP, FAANP, FAANP
Dr. Loretta C. Ford, Dean and Professor Emerita, School of Nursing, University of Rochester, is an internationally known nursing leader. She has devoted her career to practice, education, research, consultation and influencing health services, community health and military nursing.

Dr. Ford’s studies on the nurse's expanded scope of practice in public health nursing, her specialty, led to the creation of the first Pediatric Nurse Practitioner model of advanced practice at the University of Colorado Medical Center. This model of Advanced Nursing Practice has sparked the expansion into many fields of nursing practice. Today, there are over 205,000 NPs practicing in the US with many similar expansions around the globe.

Later, convinced of the need to meld nursing education, practice, research and leadership in system change, she provided administrative leadership for a Unification model in nursing at the University of Rochester Medical Center, NY. She has served as a visiting professor at several universities and has led many International nursing education visitations, including some recent lectures in the Far East and The Netherlands. After her retirement, she served as Interim Dean at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the University of Rochester.

Dr. Ford’s advanced degrees were earned at the University of Colorado Schools of Nursing and Education. She holds Honorary Doctorates from nine prestigious Universities and myriads of awards. Recently, Columbia University School of Nursing presented her with the Second Century Award in Health Care Excellence. She has authored well over two hundred publications/presentations on the history of the Nurse Practitioner, Unification of Practice, Education, and Research, and Issues in Advanced Nursing Practice and Health Care. Recently, the University of Rochester recognized Dr. Ford’s contribution to nursing education by naming an addition to the School of Nursing, the “Loretta C. Ford Educational Wing.” In 2010, Thailand’s Princess Srinagarindra award honored Dr. Ford and the National Women’s Hall of Fame inducted her into its membership in 2011 and the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in 2012. Last year, Life Achievement and Pioneering awards were received from several organizations.

Currently, Dr. Ford consults and lectures on the historical development of the Nurse Practitioner and on issues in Advanced Nursing Practice and Health Care Policy.

Lynn Rapsilber, DNP, APRN, ANP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Lynn Rapsilber has been a GI NP for over 13 years. She manages patients with all types of GI conditions especially IBS and fatty liver. She runs the Hepatitis C clinic for her practice and is considered and expert and resource for her community. Recently she started NP Wellness Care providing Hepatitis C education and treatment on site at addiction and rehabilitation centers. She is a sought-after speaker whose shares her expertise to promote knowledge of GI issues for the primary care provider. Dr. Rapsilber has presented on GI topics at local state and national platforms. She has authored articles on Hepatitis C and mentors new treaters. She lectures at colleges on GI topics.

Brett Badgley Snodgrass has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for 12 years, practicing in multiple settings. She is the NP Director of Palliative Care Services for the Baptist Healthcare System in Memphis, TN. Wendy received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2019 from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She is a 1992 graduate of the Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts and completed a family nurse practitioner post-master’s program in 1995. She is an adult and family nurse practitioner and the owner of two, nurse practitioner owned and operated clinics within New Hampshire named: Wright & Associates Family Healthcare. Her family practices have won numerous awards, including Top Providers in New Hampshire 2018, Top 20 Fastest Growing Family Business, and Top 20 Women-Owned Business in New Hampshire. In addition, she is the Owner of Partners in Healthcare Education, a medical education company. She is the Past President of NPACE and the Senior lecturer for Fitzgerald Health Education Associates.

She is the recipient of numerous awards and was chosen by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as the 1999 recipient of the New Hampshire State Excellence Award. In addition, she received the 2009 NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year and the 2014 Top 5 Women in New Hampshire Business Award. In 2005, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; in October 2014, a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, and in March 2017, a Fellow into the National Academies of Practice.

She is the founder of the NH Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, an organization designed to assist nurse practitioners with independent practice issues. In addition to full-time clinical practice, she presents nationally to different audiences and has been a speaker at over 1000 conferences in 47 states. She is the nurse practitioner representative to the State of NH Immunization Advisory Board. She has been a medical media spokesperson for numerous companies and has appeared on radio, television, and in print magazines. Wendy is frequently consulted by malpractice attorneys around the area of clinical practice and has worked on more than 100 malpractice cases involving nurses and nurse practitioners.

Michael E. Zychowicz, DNP, FAAN, FAANP
Michael E Zychowicz, DNP is a Professor at Duke University School of Nursing where he is the Director of the MSN Program. Dr. Zychowicz has built a 20-year career in orthopedics as both a clinician, educator and scholar. He leads the only Orthopedic NP graduate educational program at Duke. Dr. Zychowicz is board certified as both an Adult NP and Orthopedic NP.
