The Nebraska Department of Education in conjunction with NWEA will be offering a series of three one-day text-dependent analysis workshops. These workshops are offered to ESU facilitators and to one 8th grade teacher or curriculum leader per district. Each district is able to send one representative.
Text Dependent Analysis (TDA) Series
This is a series of one-day workshop sessions which will be delivered at The Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln AND at ESU 3 in La Vista. It is a desired outcome for the same cohort to attend all three TDA offerings at this location. We have combined registration into one easy step for you. When you register, you will be registered for all three workshops. Please check the agenda tab to see details of the day.

Pre-Work: Will be assigned by facilitator as needed
Participant Workshop Materials: Please bring technology device (laptop, etc)
Audience: 8th grade Teacher, or District Curriculum Leader (one per district)
While the main goal of the workshops is to build capacity for TDA instruction—they also are designed to promote writing across the curriculum. TDA writing fits well with social studies, science and ELA—perhaps even into other content areas.
Those selected to attend need to:
· Engage with others about the information, both at the workshop and after, upon returning to the district.
· Have some experience in TDA.
· Have some experience in writing.
· Have content knowledge in ELA, science, and/or social studies.
· Have some experience or familiarity with effective instruction of close reading and TDA development.
There is no fee to attend, and lunch is included at each session
