Please complete the information below to reserve your place on the Yale Alumni Service Corps Program to Peru 2022. When you have finished, click the finish button and your request will be sent to the Yale Alumni Association. Cost of the program is $2,095 per person (double occupancy). A limited number of single rooms are available at an additional cost of $250. Cost includes accommodations, round trip flight from Lima to Iquitos, ground transportation, meals, celebration events, and related activities. The program does not include international airfare to/from Lima. Your registration will not be complete until we have received your deposit of $500 per person. Deposit payments are fully refundable until March 1, 2022. Final payment is due on March 1, 2022. Please be aware that after March 1, 2022, all program payments are non-refundable! We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance (Note: substitution of registration for another person is not allowed)! Children: Families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please, however, take note of the following restrictions: All children 18 and under must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, legal guardian or adult with proper authorization.All children under the age of 14 must have a parent participating in the same community throughout the duration of the program.We cannot accommodate any children under the age of 12 on the program. We are sorry but there can be no exceptions to these restrictions.Physical demands of this trip:There is a lot of walking and the need to climb stairs, quite steep in some places, to access the communities from the boats that are the only transportation to the communities and El Tambo. The boat trip to your community (each day) is 20-40 minutes each way depending on the community. Volunteers:Thank you for your commitment to this service program to Nauta. A critical part of participation in YASC programs is that your project work begins as soon as your project assignments are confirmed soon after final payments are made on March 1. Team leaders will be contacting their team members shortly after the groups are determined. PLEASE respond to your team leaders when they reach out to you. Let them know how best to stay in contact with you. They will be giving you vital information regarding your team’s activities and individual responsibilities – be a team player, get involved early, build momentum and success. Service Trip Scholarships: The Yale Alumni Service Corps will provide a small number of scholarships depending on availability of scholarship funds. These funds are donated by other travelers inspired by the program. Please refer to the "Scholarships" section of the registration form for details about applying for a scholarship as the deadline for submission is February 1, 2022! You must complete this application and pay the required deposit (which is not part of the scholarship funding). Awards will be based on financial need, skills and knowledge needed for service projects, and previous volunteer experience. We cannot accept any other form of requests for funding at this time. You will be notified about any scholarship funding that you have been granted by February 15, 2022! If you do not receive the necessary assistance and you need to withdraw from the trip, your deposit will be refunded.Post-Trip Extension:YASC and Condor Travel will offer a post trip extension to Cuzco and Machu Picchu from July 17-21, 2022. The cost is $1,510 per person, double occupancy (includes round trip airfare Lima-Cuzco). Single supplement is $250.
