We Can Do That!
Capitalizing on the True Value of CHART
by Donna Herbel, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Lead Director of Training and Development, Perkins & Marie Callender’s

Returning from CHART’s recent conference in beautiful Charleston, I was reminded in conversations with CHART past-presidents that hospitality training professionals don’t get paid for what we know. We get paid for what we do with what we know.

In her opening keynote address, Marilyn Sherman challenged each of us to lead from the front row as we translate our ideas into strategy and action. David Horsager reminded us about the importance of clarity, both in the “why” and the “how,” to make meaningful, sustainable impact. Sam Richter challenged us to think about our present and our future, and techniques to educate ourselves and others about being intentional with our digital footprints. Jim Knight challenged us to amp up our culture, our leadership and our actions to inspire and engage.

Now is the time to capitalize on the true value of CHART. Beyond ideas, we have a network of doers who have taken action, with amazing results, and are willing to share their stories.  Read more.
