 WET Center Graduating Interns

The WET Center team is proud to employ a team of hardworking, dedicated student assistants. As a result of the pandemic, Fresno State's commencement ceremonies have been cancelled, so  we would like to take a moment to acknowledge our students' hard work and academic prowess.

Sydney Zumwalt (top left) graduated from the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology with a degree in Animal Science Livestock Business Management. She plans to work full-time for one of our WET Center members!

Eric Tafoya (top right) graduated from the Craig School of Business with a degree in Business and Marketing. He plans to work full-time at his current internship and eventually return to school for his Master's degree!

Emily Thompson (bottom left) graduated from the College of Arts & Humanities with a degree in Public Relations. She plans to work in the healthcare or non-profit sector.

Kyle Zoldoske (bottom right) graduated from the College of Arts & Humanities with a degree in Communications. He plans to apply to law school and become an environmental lawyer.

COVID-19 Resources & Support

Fresno State and the Water, Energy and Technology (WET) Center are complying with the COVID-19 recommendations issued by the California State University Office of the Chancellor, the City of Fresno, and the State of California.

 

The WET Center facilities will be closed until further notice. The health and safety of our clients, staff, and families is our first priority. We will monitor the situation closely and keep you updated. Our team will be working remotely and will still be able to assist you.

To request one-on-one hours, please email us with a brief description of your questions/concerns and what support you are requesting and we will be sure to get back to you!

The WET Center website now has a page dedicated to resources and 
support
 for small businesses during this time.

Fruits and vegetables grown with recycled oilfield water in Kern County got a final stamp of approval last month, nearly five years after the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board began what it thought was going to be a three-month process investigating the water's safety.

Paying homage to Donald E. Gumz
Last week, Fresno State approved the naming of the enology building for Donald E Gumz in recognition of his significant gift to the enology program. Our CIT founder, David Zoldoske, was the person who originally got Gumz involved with the enology and CIT program.

Our goal has been (and will always be) to play an important role online by providing innovative resources to our diverse network of professionals, ventures and entrepreneurs. This role is more important than ever before!

To counter the ever-changing news surrounding COVID-19, and to help alleviate the impacts made by quarantine life, we are excited to announce that we will be kick starting our WET Center Webinar Series.

The weekly series will run through April and May and will focus on tips,
 tricks, and strategies on how to best work with essential business tools including websites, social media practices, advertising, sales, 
how to make the best impression from behind a screen, and more.
