CEO@Smith presents: EY CEO and Global Chairman, Carmine Di Sibio. On Tuesday, September 8, join the conversation between Interim Dean of Maryland Smith, Ritu Agarwal, and Global Chairman and CEO of EY, Carmine Di Sibo, about global business resilience and globalization, leadership in times of adversity and crisis, and how EY is overcoming challenges associated with the global pandemic.

Following the CEO@Smith conversation, join EY representatives for "A Life of an EY Professional." This panel discussion will focus on the EY shared experience and the judgement and diverse perspectives needed to reframe the future for their clients - now, next and beyond.

Angel Investing with the Dingman Center Angels. Join us as Holly DeArmond, Managing Director, Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship, and Stan Smith, Investment Manager, Dingman Center Angels, present "Angel Investing with the Dingman Center Angels" on Thursday, September 24.

The Dingman Center Angels is a leading growth seed investment group providing accredited investors access to promising high growth potential Mid-Atlantic based startups. Since inception in 2009-10, the Dingman Center Angels have invested more than $16M in over 115 transactions. During this session, you will hear key insights on angel investing and learn about our network, portfolio companies and how you can get involved.

Smith Alumni Solidarity Series: Critical Conversations at Work. Join the Smith Alumni community on Monday, September 28 as we discuss how to move forward with the conversation around race, racism and anti-racism in the workplace. This event will feature a moderated discussion with Smith alumni Sherika Ekpo, MBA ‘09, of Google-AI and Malcolm Gillian ‘95, MBA ‘00, of Cogent Entertainment Marketing. Moderated by Smith professor, Nicole Coomber, this event will address an array of topics including language, the impacts of COVID-19, changing the work culture, talking about race in the workplace, and more.

  • Be a Smith Day champion at your company - bring Smith alumni at your employer together (virtually), show your Smith pride, and enter a group photo with everyone in their Smith/Maryland gear into our contest
