Winter in The Netherlands
During this short course in January 2019 students will
participate in interactive workshops that focus on skills and personal
development in both entrepreneurial and general topics. The course
consists of modules (which include either (guest) lectures, workshops,
company visits or coaching sessions) that take place both on and off
campus, and are delivered in English.

Looking to enhance your employability by upskilling in Data Analytics?
Griffith business students have exclusive access to a free workshop series consisting of two half-days of lab-based training covering: (1) basic data management (2) visualisation (3) predictive analytics (4) web scraping and text analytics. A hands-on problem-solving experience in using Python will be emphasised through a series of real-world examples. Attendees completing all (four) sections of the workshop will be granted an electronic attendance certificate and participation contributes to the ENRICH element of the BusinessPLUS program.

Mainfreight Scholarship a perfect fit for winner Mary Cortes
GBS student Mary Cortes couldn’t quite believe
it when she was told she was the winner of the Mainfreight Scholarship.
“It’s a highly competitive scholarship and being the recipient is really
a great blessing. I am so grateful to Mainfreight for considering me as
the deserving candidate,” Mary says.
As a part of the award, Mary will receive $8000 to assist her as she works towards completing her Bachelor of Business degree. Read more.

Beachcare event engaged coastal community
On 17 August, 22 GBS student leaders participated in a ‘Beachcare’
event at the Southport Spit (The Spit). ‘Beachcare' is a coastal
community engagement initiative that is facilitated by the Griffith
Centre for Coastal Management, in partnership with the City of Gold
Coast.
Our leaders spent the morning collecting rubbish,
as well as re-planting and weeding an area of The Spit. These plants
are essential for a healthy wetland and beach environment and all the
students thoroughly enjoyed participating in the day. Read more.
