PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
This year has flown by, and during my time in this role, I have learned so much about IFMA, our chapter, and myself. It has truly been a privilege to support the chapter. Thank you for the support over the past year. It is greatly appreciated.
As we look back over the past IFMA fiscal year, we will have time to reflect on the successes of 2022-2023, some of the challenges, and the bright future of the IFMA Greater Triangle Chapter in 2023-2024. I hope you will attend the July 12th meeting where we will introduce the new Board and provide an update on the State of the Chapter.
A couple of weeks ago the Board met for our annual planning retreat. The theme for the upcoming year is Refreshing Growth – Building Upon Post Pandemic Success with a focus on how we will continue to grow the chapter; both in membership and in program offerings.
As we transition into the new fiscal year, I look forward to seeing new faces, attending amazing programs, and continuing to support the chapter.
Thank you for an amazing year!

MAY 2023 PROFESSIONAL ONLY EVENT & ANNUALS SPONSOR SOCIAL RECAP
Our chapter celebrated World FM Day on Wednesday, May 10th with our Professional Only event followed by our Annual Sponsor Social. Thanks to our presenters, Susan Farrell, WELL AP, WELL Faculty from Vari and Alicia Ravetto FAIA WELL AP LEED Fellow from DPR on the introduction to Well Buildings 101 and the role of FMs in designing and constructing cost effective, healthy facilities. The topic sparked great conversation about ensuring facilities are healthy, safe, and comfortable to bring workers back to the office.
Thanks to our 2022-2023 Onyx Annual Sponsors for making this event possible!

MIKE BRADLEY MEMORIAL IFMA FOUNDATION 2023 GOLF TOURNAMENT RECAP
by Todd Taintor, Golf Committee Co-Chair
Celebrating our 25th anniversary, this year’s Mike Bradley Memorial IFMA Foundation Golf Tournament was another huge success thanks to our membership, sponsors, participants, and volunteers.
The primary purpose of our annual golf tournament is to provide an opportunity to network and have fun while raising scholarship funding for future professionals pursuing a career in the facility management industry. INCREASE IN IFMA MONTHLY MEETING COSTS
At the recent Board retreat, we discussed the financial impact of inflation on chapter operations. Expenses continue to rise, and as we strive to provide high-quality content and events at a reasonable price, we find ourselves at a point where we need to raise rates.
We’ve held sponsorship levels steady for over three years, kept lunch fees flat for over five years, and continue to offer free events. After carefully analyzing venue costs and registration fees, we need to increase our monthly lunch fees to $40.00 per person starting with the July 2023 luncheon.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the IFMA Greater Triangle Chapter.
