Kick off summer with the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce at our Annual Networking event on Thursday, June 7 from 5:30 – 7:30PM at the Silverline Center Atrium. Mix and Mingle, Meet and Eat with members of the business community for an evening of friendly networking and drinks as restaurants serve bite size samples of some of their best dishes! Long considered one of the must-attend events for businesses in the Washington region, the Northern Virginia Chamber’s Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards honor individuals, businesses and non-profits for above-and-beyond business leadership, employee engagement, and corporate social responsibility. Finalists and winners are announced at the Awards event on Wednesday, June 13 from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM at the The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner. The Distinguished Service Awards honor individuals, companies, and non-profit organizations for their service to veterans in the Greater Washington business community. The Awards are presented in recognition of community stewardship and business leadership. Northern Virginia Chamber Announces New Partner for the Business Voice

2018 Raise the Region Gala – Community Foundation for Northern Virginia
The Community Foundation’s annual black-tie gala welcomes more than 600 community business, philanthropic and community leaders to celebrate our region’s growth and diversity and to raise critical funds to support its work in the community. The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia is a visionary funder that has directed millions of charitable dollars to people in need since 1978. Its mission is to grow philanthropy to respond to critical need and seed innovation in the region. It is committed to building a community that works for everyone. The Catholic Business Network Honoring Five Catholic Chief Executive Officers
The Catholic Business Network (CBN), is honoring five Catholic Chief Executive Officers of Northern Virginia's largest Chambers of Commerce, Friday, June 8th at Hyatt Regency Dulles in Herndon, VA. Those attending will enjoy networking, a plated lunch, panel discussion and a brief awards program. The five CEOs being honored are Jim Corcoran, President & CEO of the Northern Virginia Chamber; Tony Howard, President & CEO of the Loudoun Chamber; Mark Ingrao, President & CEO Reston Chamber; John Boylan, President & CEO of the Dulles Chamber; and Debbie Jones, President & CEO of the Prince William Chamber. Michael Fitzgerald Named President of United Bank
United Bank, the largest community bank headquartered in Greater Washington, has appointed Michael Fitzgerald to the role of president. With nearly 40 years of banking experience in the D.C. metro region, Fitzgerald will focus on business development and strengthening client relationships, reinforcing the bank’s commitment to its customers and communities across a footprint of 142 locations, including 70 in the Washington, D.C. MSA. He will continue serving on the board of directors of United Bankshares, Inc., the parent company for United Bank. For more information, click here.

Join Unanet for a Lunch and Learn
Unanet is hosting two complimentary lunch & learns on its software for managing pipeline, projects, people, and financials/accounting for customers and organizations interested in evaluating Unanet. The lunch will provide an overview of how Unanet delivers upon its customers' desired outcomes, followed by a panel of Unanet customers detailing the significant benefits they have received by moving to a “single source of truth.” Both events will be held from 11:00AM-1:30PM.
