Happy Holidays!

It’s hard to believe we are wrapping up 2021 and we are heading into 2022.

Congratulations to Cindi Gamb for being elected as 2nd Vice President, you will be a great addition to the Executive Board.  Thank you to both Cindi and Kelly Meyer for accepting nominations and your applications to serve WMCA.  Both candidates have spent a considerable amount of time volunteering with the WMCA and your willingness to serve is appreciated.  Amy White, District 2 and Michelle Loken, District 3 were sworn in as district co-directors, thank you both for filling those roles.  Warmest appreciation to Michelle Ebbert and Mackenzie Reed-Kadow filling the vacant positions on the Certification Committee and Jerri Johnson filling the vacant position for WCEF.  Thank you all for giving your time and talents.

As we close out this year take time to count your blessings in both your personal and professional life. Set your goals for next and remember to not get discouraged, everyone in this association supports you.

On December 3, 2021, the WMCA Board of Directors had to vote to pick the next 2nd Vice President for the WMCA Board of Directors.  There were two fine candidates for the position - Cindi Gamb and Kelly Meyer.  Cindi Gamb has been elected to the position.

Get to know your new 2nd Vice President through Cindi's biography.

Cindi Gamb, MMC, WCPC, CMTW
Deputy Clerk-Treasurer, Village of Kohler

I began my Municipal Government Career in 1994 when I was appointed Deputy Clerk-Treasurer for the Village of Kohler.  In my 27 years I have attained my Certified Municipal Treasurer of Wisconsin designation in 2008, Wisconsin Professional Clerk designation in 2009 and Master Municipal Clerk designation in 2011.

Currently, I have the pleasure of serving as District 6 Co-Director for both the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Association (WMCA) and the Municipal Treasurers Association of Wisconsin (MTAW).

From 2011 to 2012 I served as President of the Municipal Treasurers Association of Wisconsin. In 2016 I was appointed to serve as a director for the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada, and then treasurer for the association from 2016 to 2018.

During my career I have served on several conference committees and am currently a member of the Certification Committee, a trainer at the UWGB Clerks and Treasurers Institute, a trainer for Chief Election Inspectors and Chairperson of MTAW’s Treasurers Workshop.

In 2015 I was awarded the Joseph J. Krueger Award from MTAW for my outstanding contributions to the treasurer profession and my community.

My husband Jeff and I have one son, Jerrod, and one Golden Retriever, Daisy. I am an active member of First United Lutheran Church. In my spare time I enjoy reading, camping, quilting and crocheting.

Congratulations Cindi!

Watch for your 2022 Dues Email
 binoculars

The WMCA Office will be emailing out your WMCA 2022 dues renewal email on Thursday, December 30th.  Your dues should be paid by the end of January 2022.

There will be a link in the email for all Active and Government Associate Members to pay with a credit card on-line or to note that you will be sending in a check.

For our Vendors/Associate Members:  since only the actual member can access our system, and most of you pass the membership form on to an assistant to take care of, your email will have a form attached and credit card info can be written on the form or mail in the form with a check.

If you have any questions, please contact ExecDirector@wisclerks.org.

Request from the WI Department of Administration

The Public Records Board (PRB) is undergoing the process of reviewing and revising the Facility's General Records Schedule, RDA FAC00082, Monitoring and Surveillance Recordings, which currently expires November 2022. Your response and input will assist the PRB in revising this RDA to include practical needs and capacity.  They would like your input regarding current surveillance and monitoring practices in your agency, county or municipality.

Please forward to the appropriate person or department to complete the survey questions and respond by 12/22/2021.  Thank you.

Email Address Changes
 atComputer
I know that some of you will be changing your email addresses for better security, and I just wanted to remind you to please let the WMCA office know when you make an email address change.  While you can do some updating of your record through the Membership Directory, one thing you cannot change on your own is your email address.  You need to email to ExecDirector@wisclerks.org and I will change your email address in our records.

In addition, if you are on Clerklist (a separate system) you need to let me know that, too, if you want your email address changed in that system.
