HFMA Michigan Great Lakes Chapter Update – February 2025
HFMA Michigan Great Lakes Chapter President’s Message
It’s the time of year when we are all looking for the winter weather to break and the temperatures to hit that 50-degree mark! It won’t be too long after that we will hit 70 and head into spring. As we look forward to the warmer weather we still have a good amount of chapter programming before the programming season ends and we pause for the well sought after summer weather!
Overall, we have seen a good amount of programming this year and have been successful in engaging our members. We have several returning sponsors and a great leadership team. I am confident this will continue with the support of our members, sponsors, and chapter volunteers.
As was mentioned in last month’s newsletter, our Women in Leadership Conference will be our first in-person event of the year. Registration is open and sponsorship packages are available. This year’s theme is Better Your Best, we have a great agenda being planned with an Executive Panel that is sure to draw an impressive crowd! Be sure to join us for a great event and insightful information from our speakers.
Do you follow us on our Socials? If not, be sure to follow us for timely chapter updates! Before I get to our spotlights we have a special guest this month President-Elect – Courtney Guernsey. Courtney will provide an update on chapter leadership as we look forward to gathering with chapter leaders and those of the other chapters in early May to plan for the success of the 2025/2026 Chapter Year.
This month we are spotlighting Kelli Williams (who returns to our board) and Blue & Co for their recent sponsorship. As always, thanks for all you do to make our chapter a success!
Lastly, we would like to say thanks and congratulate Meagan Soffin. Meagan served as our chapter administrative assistant for over two years while in her graduate program and is taking the opportunity to focus on her career. On behalf of the chapter leaders, we wish her the best!
