Career-Management-Workshop-Series Kickstart your career
The BusinessPLUS Career Management Workshop Series comprises FOUR individual workshops, each two hours in duration. Workshops run Weeks 2-5 at the Nathan and Gold Coast campuses. You are welcome to attend any workshop at any campus.

Workshops are based on the following topics: Self-awareness, strategies for finding employment and work experience, the application process and interview skills.

Live, work and travel in  China,  Hong Kong,  Indonesia,  Japan,  Korea,  Laos  or  Malaysia  while undertaking a Global Mobility Internship during T3, 2020.  

During the placement, you will continue to experience the diversity and dynamism of the Asia-Pacific, while at the same time sharing capabilities, building networks and gaining practical exposure to different perspectives and work practices.  

Applications for Trimester 3, 2020 global internships are now open and will close on Tuesday 31 March.

Student Leadership Program Induction Day

On Friday 14 February more than  51  new student leaders participated in the GBS Student Leadership Program Induction Day. Our student leaders have armed themselves with valuable mentoring and presentation skills to serve as the School's newest ambassadors. Nearly  41 students in their 2nd year of the program joined the new recruits, practicing their self-awareness and team dynamics skills.

Internship leads to dream career


Griffith Business School graduate Azaria Bell has turned an internship opportunity 

into a career with Stonehouse Group. 

Azaria’s initial placement with the prestigious financial advice firm was part of her prize as the winner of the  Stonehouse Group Scholarship.

Now an Associate  Adviser with the group, Azaria says she thinks it was a combination 

of the theory and the soft skills she learnt while at Griffith that set her apart from
 other candidates. I had the chance to participate in so many extracurricular activities that were great for both building my skills and confidence."

Griffith Business School’s exclusive BusinessPLUS program has proven it’s 
the step-up students need when they enter the workplace. Launched in 2018, the BusinessPLUS program has seen many students, past and present, credit the program with early career success. 

Georgia Kelly has yet to graduate, but has already seen the benefits of BusinessPLUS first hand when she applied for a part-time job with Sofitel Brisbane. 

Working in the industry while at university really gives a great crossover between my studies and gaining experience in my chosen field,” Georgia explains. “The BusinessPLUS program taught me how to create an effective online portfolio that I used in my profile on LinkedIn, which assisted when Sofitel Brisbane were looking at my resume.”
