Alumni News October 2023
Marcus Ward, Vice President, Advancement
This month saw a milestone moment for Griffith University as we launched The Campaign to Create a Brighter Future for All. Years in the build-up and a momentous event at Brisbane City Hall, this Campaign will support the University's ambitions and aspirations, support students and researchers and engage alumni in meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships.
We have dual goals and are the first Australian university to launch a campaign with a goal for alumni engagement.
  • Raise $125m in funding to support research, education, and engagement to have an even greater impact, benefiting those who need it most.
  • Have 100,000 meaningful engagements with alumni, that are mutually beneficial and add value to your lives and to the University.

Transformative Education for All

At Griffith we pride ourselves on fostering an environment where academic excellence is met with unwavering support, irrespective of the challenges life may throw at our students. As an alumnus, you are already well-acquainted with the transformative power of education and how Griffith University stands as a beacon of knowledge and opportunity.
The Brighter Futures Scholarship lends a helping hand to those students who excel academically but find themselves grappling with financial or personal adversity. It is a lifeline for students like Courtney McCreery, whose journey serves as a poignant example of how our alumni support can change lives.
