Minnesota's 2020 Election Results

Yesterday, Minnesotans headed to the polls casting ballots for national, state, and local elections that will influence the direction of government actions for the next few years. Early reports show that this year’s turnout numbers could break records, even as the number of COVID-19 infections continue to rise throughout the state.

Although some precincts continue to review and count ballots, Minnesota will likely retain one of the nation’s only divided state legislatures with Republicans poised to hold a narrow, 35-32 majority in the state Senate and Democrats on a path to keep a smaller, 69-65 majority in the state House.

Below are the most recent results from some of the races that helped determine the makeup of Minnesota’s 92nd Legislature that will convene on January 5, 2021.
