Life's work: social work, capital punishment and death penalty mitigation

Dr. Cecile Guin received Excellence in Innovation Award from the LSU Office of Innovation & Technology Commercialization. 

Guin is the Director of the Office of Social Service Research & Development, School of Social Work. Her commitment to her students, staff, LSU, the Baton Rouge community, and Louisiana goes far beyond what others have been willing to do.

Honoring Laurie Aronson

Aronson, a graduate of U-High, served as president of the ULS Foundation during the Centennial Celebration from 2015-2016. She has been a longtime supporter and mentor to the school. She is a ULS superhero, embodying the school's motto, "Total Effort in Every Endeavor."
