Every year Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Day falls on 1 July. It is a day for businesses to rededicate themselves to National Service (NS) and to celebrate and recognize the important contributions of their NSmen employees to the defence of our national sovereignty and our economy. It is also a day for businesses to salute the men and women of the SAF. Equally, 1 July is a day for NSmen and the men and women of the SAF to rededicate themselves to their vital role.

This is why, on SAF Day, businesses, NSmen and SAF regulars come together in Combined Rededication Ceremonies held across Singapore. There are 4 zonal ceremonies organized by business associations like ASME, SCCCI and SMF. We always support the SMF organized ceremony held at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre which is a proud Chamber member.

As the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew said:
“Without defence there is no security, there is no economy.”

We encourage you to rededicate yourselves and your business to NS and to the continued support of your NSmen either by holding in-house ceremonies on 1 July or, better still, by attending one of the 4 zonal ceremonies.
