State Legislative & Regulatory Update Legislators Move Redistricting Legislation On a party-line vote, the NC Senate and NC House voted through S 249, which remap and realign congressional districts for North Carolina. Register and Learn More ▶   Process for Nonbanks to Bid on Failed Institutions The FDIC will allow private equity firms and other nonbanks to bid on failed banks, per FDIC Acting Chairman Travis Hill. The FDIC has developed a pre-qualification process for nonbank bidders, with the intent of qualifying nonbank bidders in advance of any offering. The pilot process will begin in January 2026.
